Design Week 2018: All About Spaces and... Mustard Yellow

In 2018, the festival will take place on May 7th – 13th in Kaunas and five other cities in Lithuania.

Design Week Lithuania is an annual event dedicated to the synthesis of insightful solutions, original ideas and professional performance while highlighting the value of good design. All the latest artwork, concepts and products are welcome to join the festival in various forms.

In 2018, the festival will take place on May 7th – 13th in Kaunas and five other cities in Lithuania – Vilnius, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Telšiai and Anykščiai. The epicentre of the festival in Kaunas have been the interwar headquarters of the Pienocentras company, located in the heart of Laisvės alėja, the main street of the city. We do hope this won't change!

There are several forms of participation in the week – young designers and brands are welcome to exhibit their products in the windows of shops and cafes located in the centre of Kaunas (or any other city in the list!) or at their own studios or showrooms. It is also possible to organise a separate event which would be included in the programme of the festival.

The theme of Design Week Lithuania 2018 is spaces. The participants are invited (the open call is valid through February) to bring in some fresh approach to various spaces that surround us, to analyse how they relate to and impact our daily life.
