Street art is becoming an increasingly popular form of art, and the city of Kaunas in Lithuania. Wall paintings are an interesting way to make the streets livelier and bring art within everyone's reach. Murals in public spaces tell a story, serve as an original setting and have a lasting value.
Each year, the number of street art projects increases. There are large-scaled murals painted by professionals artists and walls dedicated to free and legal self-expression appearing all over Kaunas.
One of the most well-known murals is The Master (Wise Old Man), which covers an area of 440 square m. This is probably the first large-scale piece of street art in Lithuania.
