Unlike the First Fort, this one is heavily urbanized, with Julijanava and Kazliškės settlements around it. The pentagonal fort plan formed the network structure of the settlements’ streets. This fort suffered the most during World War I but was also affected during World War II when Aleksotas Airport was bombed.
